Sanitation and Hygiene
GHNU is currently implementing a WASH project in an attempt to increase access to safe water and improve hygiene and sanitation in Loro, Aber and Iceme sub-counties.
Lack of access to safe water, poor sanitation and inadequate hygiene practices are major challenges facing the community as many diseases such as typhoid, cholera and dysentery, which are commonly found in the district, can be prevented.
The project looks at increasing knowledge on hygiene and sanitation so that communities can take up action to address the gaps.
